SOLD Eames Herman Miller Rosewood DCM's Dining Chairs Original Set Of Six
Listed for sale is an original and extremely rare set of Herman Miller Rosewood DCM's designed by Charles and Ray Eames. This set was purchased from the original owners and is in magnificent condition. The original owners had maintained the set and I was told that they were simply maintained as was instructed in Herman Miller's care guide. The grain is outstanding and bases still look great. This set carries Herman Miller's paper labels, and seem to date to the mid 1960's. The chairs have all of their original feet as well. The set is an extremely rare find and this set acts as an outstanding example.
Rosewood
Panels are in excellent shape. The seats do show scratches from use, but that is to be expected for dining chairs of this age. All are simply surface scratches from pants...etc. Backrests look marvelous overall. Grain is lovely throughout all of the chairs, even the undersides.
Shock Mounts
The shock mounts are all original aside from one backrest. They are all in great shape structurally it seems.
Bases
The chromed steel has held up very well. There is some oxidation to the underside, but otherwise, they are still bright and gleaming. Screws are also all original, aside from one smaller screw underneath one of the chairs.
