SOLD Eames Evans Herman Miller 1947 LCW Plywood Lounge Chair Leather! 5-2-5
Listed for sale is an all original Eames LCW by Evans Plywood Products of Los Angeles lounge chair in excellent condition. The finish looks exceptional for its age, with minimal signs of use. It came from the home of the original owner and has never been refinished. The chair still has all original shock mounts. In terms of hardware, the chair has the early Herman Miller 5-2-5 setup, dating it (along with evidence from the early label) to 1947 approximately. The screws are all original and all present on the chair. The screws all have patina as is appropriate and are not at all loose.
Uniquely, this chair has an original leather upholstery option, which is mega rare! These examples often has a thin layer of cushioning beneath, giving them a unique appearance as you see. The leather is in lovely shape with some light scratches on the seat, but fabulous overall.
The chair is properly labelled with early Evans label.

Shock Mounts and Screws
The shock mounts are all still stable on the chair. It appears that all are original. The screws are all original and are still tight into the shock mounts.
