Regular price $ 6,000

This is an extremely rare pair of Eames DKR-1 Side Chairs, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1951. The listed price includes the pair. These examples date to the early 1960s and feature Eiffel bases in black powder-coated steel. They retain their original Alexander Girard Millerstripe fabric covers, which have a striped pattern with a tan background. DKR-1 stands for Dining (height) K-wire (chair) Rod (base) 1 (1-piece upholstered pad).

Each chair measures 17 inches deep, 18.5 inches wide, and 32 inches high. They have a seat height of 18 inches. We have intentionally left these pieces in their original state as many Eames aficionados enjoy the signs of time and use. The bases show patina, and the fabric has myriad pulls and stains. The padding is hard but is not crunchy. Overall, these chairs are in true vintage condition. Please see photos.
