This is an Eames Time Life Executive Desk Chair, Model ES104, initially designed in 1961 by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This particular example dates to the year 1978. The design was born as a bespoke concept for the lobby of the Time Life Building in New York. This model is slightly less wide than the Time Life Lobby Chair. The chair features a polished aluminum frame and a 4-Star swivel base. This example is upholstered in a rich cognac leather.

The chair measures 27 inches deep, 26.5 inches wide, and 34.5 inches high, with a seat height of 16.5 inches. This piece does show wear consistent with age and use, including scuffs and scratches to the frame as well as patina and creases to the leather. Overall, the chair is in good vintage condition.
