SOLD 1970's Eames Herman Miller Sofa Compact with Alexander Girard Fabric
Listed for sale is a vintage 1970's Herman Miller Eames sofa compact designed by Charles and Ray Eames. The sofa compact was designed to be as efficient as possible when shipping and was therefore designed to fold. This particular example is unique in that it is upholstered in an Alexander Girard gray checker fabric. The fabric has held up beautifully and will likely look like new with a little extra cleaning! As is, the sofa looks fabulous still. Fabric shows only minimal wear and frame is superb.
Cushions:
Upholstery is in excellent condition with some very light fading present. Foam is not hard and in nice shape.
Bases and Metal
The polished steel bases are in great condition. The feet adjust nicely, paint is all there on metal frame.
