SOLD 1950's Eames Herman Miller RAR Armshell Fiberglass Parchment Rocking Chair
Listed for sale is an all original Zenith Eames RAR rocking chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames.
The base on this is nicely patina'd and shell above retains a lovely sheen. This is not a reproduction base. The shell has a slightly discolored area underneath the chair on one side, which can likely be cleaned off, though I chose to keep this as found for the sake of originality.
This is a fabulous original example and an increasingly rare early piece.
Fiberglass
Excellent condition with nice gloss to the shell. It has not been coated or refinished and is original.
Shock Mounts and Screws
The shock mounts are all original and are still stable on the chair. The screws are all original as well.
