This is a sophisticated marble and stainless steel side table, Model TA-39, designed by Davis Allen and Gordon Bunshaft of SOM. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is a hugely important architectural firm. They produced hundreds of their own furniture designs from the 1950s-1980s, and this is a classic example. The TA-39 features a highly polished stainless-steel base, and has a round white marble top. It retains a foil tag that indicates it was utilized at the ABC corporate HQ, a notable piece of provenance fitting into the history of SOM's historic New York projects during the 1960s. We were able to locate the original drawing for this, which will be available as a digital copy as part of the sale.

The table measures 18 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 17 inches high. The polished stainless-steel base is in good condition with little wear apparent, perhaps a few light scuffs and scratches. The marble top has a couple of small chips on the edge. Overall, this table is in very good condition with light wear. Please see photos
