1960s Pair of Gordon Bunshaft & Davis Allen of SOM Marble & Steel Side Tables
This is a pair of Marble and Stainless Steel Side Tables, designed by Davis Allen and Gordon Bunshaft as part of SOM Design. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. was and still is an important architectural firm globally. SOM produced thousands of their own furniture designs from the 1950s-1980s, and this is a classic example. The tables feature highly polished stainless-steel bases, and square, white marble tops.
The listed price includes both tables to be sold together as a pair.
Each table measures 18 inches deep, 18 inches wide, and 18.25 inches high. The polished stainless-steel bases are in good condition with light wear apparent, including a few light scuffs and scratches. The marble tops are in great condition and have been freshly polished. Overall, the tables are in good condition with light wear. Please see photos.
