1960s Gordon Bunshaft and Davis Allen for SOM Teak Coffee Table 32x44x18 Inches
This is a coffee table, originally designed by Gordon Bunshaft and Davis Allen for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). This particular example was produced in the 1960s. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. was and still is an important architectural firm globally. SOM produced thousands of their own furniture designs from the 1950s-1980s, and this is a classic example. The design features a solid teak top, showcasing rich grain and warm tone, paired with a steel base.
The table measures 32 inches deep, 44.25 inches wide, and 18.125 inches high. This piece shows wear consistent with age and previous use and remains in good overall vintage condition. Please see photos.
