1950s Isamu Noguchi for Knoll Cyclone Dining Table with 48" White Laminate Top
This is a Cyclone Dining Table, model 312, initially designed by Isamu Noguchi for Knoll in 1957. This early example dates to the 1950s. The piece has a cast-iron base which is coated in black porcelain enamel, and it has a white laminate top. The welded chromed-steel base adds a sculptural element to the design.
This table is 47.75 inches in diameter and is 29 inches tall. The base of the piece is original, and there is patina and pitting on the chromed-wire rods. There is also some scuffing present on the enameled base. The top has some light scratches and shows wear on its edges. Overall, this piece is in good vintage condition with light visible wear.
