C. 1970s Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen Swan Settee / Sofa Unmarked Grey Fabric
This is a Swan Sofa, originally designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. This particular example was produced by Fritz Hansen in the 1970s. The Swan Sofa features a sculptural, organic form with smooth curves and a low profile. This piece is upholstered in grey fabric, and rests on an aluminum base.
The sofa appears to be unmarked. After inspection, the metalwork, detailing, and patina appear to be in line with authentic examples from C. 1970s. Examples from that era only had stickers on them. The details on this settee all align with original examples and appear to be aligned with a vintage Settee which has been reupholstered and no longer retains the original label. We have seen knockoffs before and this appears otherwise to look identical to vintage authentic examples we've had in-house.
The sofa measures 29.1 inches deep, 56.7 inches wide, and 31.1 inches high with a seat height of 15.9 inches. This piece shows some light wear from previous use, including minor scuffs and surface blemishes. Overall, the sofa is in good condition. Please see photos.
