This is a Thin Edge King-sized headboard, designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in 1952. This example dates to the 1950s. The design features a rectangular frame with a rich rosewood veneer, and there is a steel-reinforced mechanism on each side that allows it to attach to a standard King bed frame. The simple silhouette allows one to appreciate the quality of the rosewood chosen, with its varied grain pattern.

This headboard measures 2.5 inches deep, 78.75 inches wide, and is 34.75 inches high. The frame has some light scratches on the veneer, especially at the corners and edges. The piece was freshly oiled just prior to photography, and it appears quite reflective from the oil finish. We'll wipe it down prior to shipment. Upon request, we can also have the piece fully refinished for an additional charge. Overall, the headboard is in good condition. Please see photos.
