1950s Three Seat Slatted Settee by George Nakashima in Black Walnut
This is a rare settee crafted by George Nakashima circa late 1950s, acquired from the family of the original owners. This is an iconic example of the slatted series, which in many cases was intended to be seen from the back side. This particular example is the three seater and is constructed from solid walnut. The finish is in nice condition and has recently been re-oiled by a master woodworker. The upholstery is in nice usable condition, though could also be a candidate for reupholstery if desired.
We also have a matching lounge chair with arms, which came from the same original owner. The price listed includes the settee only.
The settee measures 72 inches long by 30 inches tall and 35 inches deep.
