1990 Onidia' Desk Lamp by Santiago Calatrava for Artemide Methacrylate, Polyurethane Foam, Paint, Metal
This is an ‘Onidia’ table lamp, designed by Santiago Calatrava for Artemide in 1990. The piece was produced in Italy. The lamp is made of cast black polyurethane foam, and it has a white opal methacrylate diffuser. It has pops of bright red on the instruments, indicative of the Postmodern “High Tech” subgenre.
This lamp measures 7.7 inches long. 7.5 inches wide and 17.7 inches high. The matte black body of the lamp is ever so slightly faded, rendering it almost a dark gray. It has its original wiring which is in good shape. Overall, this lamp is in good condition with light wear apparent. Please see photos.
