1930s Art Deco Sconce Lamp by David Gueron Degue (attributed) 4x Available
These are French Art Deco wall sconces, attributed to the French artist David Gueron Degue. These date to sometime between the late 1920s and the early 1940s, and the listed price includes one sconce. We have four sconces available for purchase. Their design features molded clear frosted glass shades that have a detailed geometric Empire motif, and they are mounted in nickel-plated bronze frames. The frames have a stepped pattern, echoing the zeitgeist of the Deco period. These sconces were not mass-produced by any means, and are scarce to encounter in the US marketplace.
Each sconce measures 5.25 inches deep, 8.875 inches wide, and 15.375 inches long. They accommodate one candelabra bulb, and have been re-wired for U.S. standards. They are in lovely condition with no chips or cracks. Please see photos.
