1970s Extra Large PH Artichoke Pendant Lamp by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen in Copper
This is a 'PH-Artichoke' pendant, initially designed by Danish architect and designer Poul Henningsen in 1957. This example dates to the 1970s and was produced by Louis Poulsen in Denmark. This extra-large iteration has 72 leaves which feature a brushed copper top surface with a high gloss reflective white finish that is applied underneath each leaf. The first edition of this design was solely released in this copper colorway, and the white and steel editions were developed later on.
The piece measures 33 inches long and wide and is 25 inches high. Overall, this piece is in very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
