This is an Eames Aluminum Group Soft Pad Management Desk Chair, Model EA435, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1969. These examples date to the year 2013. The design features a cast aluminum frame with a 5-star base on casters. The seats have plush cushions that are 2 inches thick, and they’re upholstered in 2110 Smoke (color) Austrian leather. The chairs have a tilt feature with locking capability, a full 360-degree swivel, and a manual lift mechanism.
