This is a Sapper Executive Desk chair, originally designed by Richard Sapper for Knoll in 1979. This example dates to 2003. The piece is comprised of a steel base with a pneumatic adjustable mechanism, and a seat upholstered in dark purple leather.

The chair measures 26.5 inches long, 25 inches wide, and 36.5 inches high with a seat height of 19 inches. The leather has slight creasing and light scratches, and the bases show some scuffs. Overall, the chair is in very good condition. Please see photos.
