1984 Pair of Ward Bennett Brickel Associates Dining Chairs Pink Fabric from IBM
This is a pair of bentwood dining chairs, originally designed by Ward Bennett for Brickel Associates. These particular examples were produced in 1984. Their design features a sculptural bentwood frame. The seat and back are upholstered in a pink fabric. These chairs came from the IBM Headquarters in Armonk, which was designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill (SOM) Architects, under project lead Gordon Bunshaft and Davis Allen likely leading the interiors.
The listed price includes both chairs to be sold together as a pair.
Each chair measures 22 inches deep, 23 inches wide, and 33 inches high, with a seat height of 18 inches. These examples do show light wear consistent with age and use, including minor scuffs and surface blemishes. Overall, the chairs remain in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
