1980s Pair of Nicos Zographos CH 6 Alpha Bucket Desk Chairs in Burgundy Fabric
This is a pair of CH 6 Alpha Bucket Desk Chairs, originally designed by Nicos Zographos 1964. These particular examples were produced in the 1980s. The chairs feature the designer’s signature modernist aesthetic with a sculptural bucket seat upholstered in burgundy velvet. The seats are supported by polished chrome bases, known for their clean lines and exceptional quality. These examples have a Sandefer Houston label, which was an oil and gas company that purchased these chairs originally.
The listed price includes both chairs to be sold together as a pair.
Each chair measures 29 inches deep, 25 inches wide, and 30 inches high with a seat height of 18 inches. These pieces do show wear consistent with previous use, including small tears and blemishes in the fabric. Overall, they are in good to very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
