1960s Pair of Arne Jacobsen Fritz Hansen Model 3105 Mosquito Dining Armchairs
This is a Pair of Mosquito Armchairs, Model 3105, initially designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in 1955. The design is also referred to as the “Munkegaard” chair. This pair was produced in Denmark in the 1960s, and the listed price includes the pair of chairs as shown. The seats are formed from bent plywood, and they are upholstered in a black leatherette material. The legs are composed of tubular stainless steel. This pair has arms, rarely found with this design. Mosquito chairs were only produced for a relatively short period starting in 1955, rendering them quite rare.
Each chair measures 16.5 inches deep, 16.5 inches wide, and 30 inches high. One chair shows some signs of use along the edges, and only one has the cover on its underside. They are properly tagged. Overall, this pair of chairs is in good original condition. Please see photos
