1960s Don Pettit for Knoll Associates Bent Walnut Desk Chair Black, Model 1105
This is a Pettit Desk Chair, Model 1105, designed by Don Pettit for Knoll in 1967. The chair’s frame is made from continuous bent walnut, and the padded seat and back are upholstered in black fabric. Pettit allegedly worked with Florence Knoll on the design of this chair. The base has four casters, and there is a central steel cylindrical stem that allows the user to swivel and tilt.
This chair measures 24 inches deep, 24 inches wide, and is 34.5 inches high. It has a seat height of 19.5 inches. The cushions are a little crunchy from age. The chair does swivel, but it is a bit tight. There are some marks on the arms, and there is a small tear on the underside of the fabric. Overall, this chair is in good vintage condition.
