1990s Robert Lovett Custom-Designed Cherry Armoire Cabinet 24x34x60 Inches
This is a Custom-Made Armoire in Cherry Wood, executed by renowned master woodworker Robert Lovett. Lovett was prevalent in the New Hope, Pennsylvania area, having worked under George Nakashima for ten years before founding his independent studio. Numerous master woodworkers trained under Lovett, including Jonathan Yarnall. Yarnall became one of the most highly regarded woodworkers in George Nakashima's studio. Like all of Lovett’s creations, this armoire was produced with great attention to exacting standards. The armoire’s casing is made from solid cherry, whereas the drawer structure and back are composed of poplar wood. The pulls on the doors and drawers have a burnished brass finish. They are a standard size and can easily be switched out to something more contemporary if so desired.
The cabinet measures 24 inches deep, 34.25 inches wide, and 60.5 inches high. There are perhaps a handful of small scratches on the surface. The piece has clearly been well-cared for, and remains in very good condition. Please see photos.
