SOLD 1977 Porsche 911S Sunroof Coupe All Original, Matching Numbers
Listed for sale is a 1977 Porsche 911S in terrific original condition. This aired cooled coupe was purchased by the current owner in 1989 and was meticulously cared all throughout its life. Thorough documentation is available from the current owner (during their ownership).
The vehicle is in terrific mechanical condition and very good cosmetic condition. The mechanic who has worked on this vehicle for years consistently mentions this as one of the best running original examples that he's worked on.
This is a matching numbers car and also has an all original interior. The paint appears to be original. There are instances of paint peeling on the roof and side mirror. There are also some rock chips on the bumpers.
Vehicles produced after 1976 were galvanized and therefore, this 911 is unbelievably rust free. It has also been garaged for all of its life.
In terms of weaknesses, the paint is all that can be truly critiqued. If someone wants a perfect 911S, the car will need some paintwork. To be excellent but not perfect, the roof and side mirrors can be repainted, with the rest staying original. Realistically, however, the vehicle is a superb driver and paint looks excellent from a few feet away. Up close, you can see some of the minor flaws in the paintwork. The bodywork, however, is excellent. No rust patches or dents are present.
