SOLD 2010s Eames Aluminum Group Management Chair by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in Brown Leather
This is a single Eames Aluminum Group Management Desk Chair in dark brown leather, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1958. This chair has a solid yet lightweight aluminum frame and is extremely well-made. It has a tilt feature, is height adjustable, and has full 360-degree swivel. Condition overall is excellent. There is some wear to the aluminum frame, though arms look terrific and leather looks as though it has not been sat on.
This chair measures 31-34 inches tall (it is height adjustable). Width is 23 inches and depth is 23 inches. The seat height is 17-20 inches (also adjustable).
This chair’s design resulted from the Eames's experimentation with aluminum, which became more affordable after WWII.
“The details are not details,” Charles once said. “They make the product.”
