SOLD 1970s Ash Dining Chair by Ward Bennett for Brickel Associates in Ash and Purple Mohair
This is a set of 6 dining armchairs, designed by Ward Bennett for Brickel Associates circa 1970. The chairs are crafted of Ash Wood that has been stained, and they retain their original dark purple mohair upholstery. This particular design is seemingly more scarce than other Bennett designs, and to find a set of 6 is rather special. They came from the headquarters of camera manufacturer, Bell and Howell.
Each armchair measures 24 inches deep, 24 inches wide, and is 38 inches tall. They have a seat height of 18 inches. The fabric is a bit hard to see in the images, but is in good condition, lest for some wear on the front of one piece. There are some nicks and surface blemishes on the wooden frames. Overall, this set is in very good vintage condition with some wear apparent. Please see photos.
