SOLD 1950s Alvar and Aino Aalto X601 Fan Leg Side Table for Artek in Birch 18x18 in
This is a Fan Leg Side Table, X601, originally designed by Aino and Alvar Aalto in 1954. This particular example was produced by Artek in Finland in the 1950s. The table features a round birch plywood top supported by the distinctive “fan leg” base, composed of bent birch lamellae that splay outward in a sculptural yet functional form.
This side table measures 17.875 inches in length and width, and is 17.875 inches high. There are some light scuffs and scrapes on the legs and top. Overall, this table is in good to very good condition with some wear apparent. Please see photos.
