SOLD 1940s Gilbert Rohde for Herman Miller Double Pedestal Vanity / Desk Refinished
Listed for sale is an early 1940s vintage vanity (can also be used as a desk) designed by Gilbert Rohde, produced by Herman Miller. This is a fabulous example of Rohde's work, with notable Art Deco forms and expressive use of fine woods. This piece was acquired along with a matching bedside table (listed separately).
The set was freshly refinished and generally looks terrific. There are still some minor imperfections remaining, though the piece is quite a stunner.
The vanity/desk measures 54 inches wide by 28 inches tall and 20.5 inches deep.
