1970s Joe Colombo for Bieffeplast Boby B33 Rolling Storage Cart Office Organizer
This is an Original Boby B33 Trolley Office Organizer, designed by Joe Colombo in 1969. This iteration was produced by Bieffeplast in Italy during the 1970s. The body of the cart contains myriad drawers and storage spaces, constructed of hard cast ABS plastic in black. The cart has four casters that allow for fluidity in the workplace or studio; it is truly a multitasker’s dream. The design was so novel for 1969, it earned a place in the permanent collection at MOMA.
The cart measures 17 inches deep, 17 inches wide, and 31 inches high. This shows several signs of use, including scuffs, scratches and marks. The drawers function smoothly and the casters roll easily. Overall, this B33 is in good condition. Please see photos.
