1960s Harry Bertoia for Knoll Bird Ottoman with Original Label and Brown Fabric
This is a Bird Lounge Ottoman, originally designed by Harry Bertoia for Knoll in 1952. This particular example was produced by Knoll in the United States and dates back to the 1960s. The design features a body that is formed from interlocking steel wire with a brown fabric covering. This example has the original Knoll label.
The ottoman measures 17.25 inches long, 23.5 inches wide, and 14.5 inches high. This piece shows wear consistent with age and use, including rust to the frame and stains on the fabric. Overall, the ottoman is in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
