1967 George Nakashima Studio Q Bench / Coffee Table in American Black Walnut 24 x 60"
This is an important Q Bench / coffee table, designed and produced by George Nakashima’s studio in 1967. The table is crafted entirely of American Black Walnut, having a thick, solid slab top. There is a beautifully patinated, varied grain evident throughout the piece, even on the edges of the top and on the legs. The tapered, turned spindle legs add a certain lightness to the otherwise hefty piece; an unmistakable design detail that quietly screams Nakashima.
While unsigned, the piece was notably last purchased from WYETH in 2004. The original client to purchase this table was Romieniec. The original order card will be provided as part of the sale.
This table measures 24 inches deep, 59.5 inches wide, and 13.25 inches high. The table was recently re-oiled and presents very nicely. There is light wear to the legs and top presents beautifully. Overall, this outstanding table is in very good condition. Please see photos.
