1954 Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller Dining Side Chair DCM in Calico Ash
This is an Eames DCM Side Chair, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1946. This particular example dates to approximately 1954 and has its foil patent pending sticker intact. The design features a molded plywood seat of Calico Ash. We have applied new boot glides. The steel frame retains its original black powder-coat. DCM is an acronym for Dining Height (D) Side Chair (C) on Metal (M) Rod Base.
This chair measures 21.5 inches long, 19.5 inches wide, and 29.25 high. It has a seat height of 19 inches. There are some small scratches and nicks to the wood and powdercoat. There is wear to the back of the seat near the shock mount. Overall, the piece is in solid condition with some signs of use. Please see photos.
