1950s Set of Four Herman Miller Eames DSR Fiberglass Dining Chairs in Parchment
This is a set of four DSR Chairs, originally designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1951 for Herman Miller. These particular examples date to 1950s. The chairs feature molded fiberglass shells in parchment, and have Eiffel bases made of steel. DSR is an acronym for Dining Height Side Chair Rod Base.
The listed price includes all four chairs to be sold together as a set.
Each chair measure 22 inches deep, 18.5 inches wide, and 31 inches tall with a seat height of 17.5 inches. These pieces had small holes drilled through the seats at one point. This was professionally repaired and color matched. At the same time as the repair, new rubber shock mounts were changed out where needed. Overall, the chairs are in good vintage condition.
