These are Eames Aluminum Group Soft Pad Executive Chairs, Model EA420, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1969. These examples date to circa 1975. The listed price includes one chair, and we have three available for purchase. Their design features a cast aluminum frame with an adjustable four-star base. They have soft black leather upholstery on their seats, and have black fabric backs made from Alexander Girard-designed hopsack fabric. Both the seats and backs have plush cushions that are 2 inches thick.

Each chair measures 23 inches deep, 23 inches wide, and is 40.25 inches high. They have a minimum seat height of 19.25 inches that is adjustable to 22.5 inches, and they have a seat depth of 16.5 inches. In all these examples, the leather is in good condition with some patina present. The bases and frames show some normal wear from use, and the arms are in terrific condition. Overall, these chairs are in very good vintage condition with some signs of use. Please see photos.
