Set of Three of Gordon Bunshaft's from SOM Architects Personal Pipe Collection
This is a set of three personal tobacco pipes that belonged to renowned architect Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). These pipes offer a rare and personal glimpse into the life of a 20th-century architectural master.
These artifacts come from Bunshaft's iconic Travertine House in East Hampton and were acquired directly from the estate of Gordon and Nina Bunshaft. A letter of provenance from the heirs will accompany the set.
Each pipe varies in size and shows expected signs of age and use, including wear, patina, and markings. Overall, the collection is in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
