1978 Pair of Platner Lounge Chairs, model 1715L by Warren Platner for Knoll in Red Velvet and Nickel
This is a pair of Platner Lounge Chairs, model 1715L, originally designed by Warren Platner for Knoll in 1966. These particular examples date to 1978. The listed price includes the pair of chairs. The frames of these chairs are composed of nickel-plated steel, and the seats are upholstered in a red velvet fabric.
Each chair measures 25.5 inches long, 36.25 inches wide, and 30.25 inches tall. Their seat height is 18.5 inches. The chairs are in solid condition and their frames are shiny, having just a small amount of patina. The crimson velvet is in good shape, though there is wear apparent at armrests, as well as around piping on cushions. Overall, these chairs are in excellent vintage condition (given that they are completely original) with some signs of age apparent. Please see photos.
