Regular price $ 3,800

This is a set of four DKR-2 wire dining chairs, designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1951. This particular set of four chairs dates to circa 1958. They have steel wire frames, and their original yellow naugahyde two-piece 'bikini' seat covers. The eiffel tower base is quintessential Eames, and is one of their most well-known design concepts. This set is notable for a few reasons. The pads and chairs in general are shockingly superb condition-wise compared to most others from this era. They also retain original labels noting the Redwood Avenue California address. Lastly, the frames are in great shape and original too, suggesting that these chairs were only lightly used over the decades and well cared for.

The listed price includes all four chairs. Each chair measures 32.75 inches tall, 19 inches wide and 20.5 inches deep. The seat height is 19 inches.

The welds are nicely intact and the white powder-coated seats are in good shape. The bases show some light normal wear, which can be seen in photos. Original feet are intact. Overall, they're in wonderful vintage condition and are fine examples of the DKR-2.
