This is a PAW Armchair, initially designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1948. This example hails from ca. 1950, and was produced by Zenith Plastics for Herman Miller. PAW is an acronym that stands for Pivot Armchair with Wood base. The design features the classic Eames fiberglass shell in the parchment colorway, having a rope edge, and is perched atop a 4-leg dowel base in birch. This chair features the more uncommon swivel (or pivot) base. The chair retains the Herman Miller/Zenith Plastics label underneath the seat.

This chair measures 24 inches deep, 24.875 inches wide, and is 31.25 inches tall. It has a seat height of 17.875 inches. The chair has some scrapes to the edges of the seat, and there are several scuffs on the base near the bottom. The original shock mounts are present and are in good shape. Overall, this chair is in good condition with light wear. Please see photos.
