This is an Eames Executive-Height Soft Pad Desk Chair, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1968. This particular example dates to 1979. It features black Alexander Girard-designed hopsack fabric upholstery, a frame of polished aluminum, and it has a 4-prong base. The seat and back have plush cushions that are 2 inches thick, and it features a manual lift.

This chair measures 23 inches deep, 23 inches wide, and 41.75 inches high. It has a seat height of 20.25 inches that is adjustable to 22.5 inches. It has a seat depth of 16.5 inches. The black fabric has some slight staining (can likely be cleaned without much issue). The aluminum base and arms are shiny, but there are some scratches and wear present. If desired, we can swap the arms out with professionally re-polished aluminum arms (not black) for a small additional amount. The black arms are original. Overall, this piece is in very good vintage condition with light wear. Please see photos. If desired, we can also supply casters for the chair if desired instead of the glides. They are interchangeable.
