This is an Eames Aluminum Group Soft Pad Management Desk Chair, Model EA435, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1969. These examples date to the year 1997. The design features a cast aluminum frame with a 5-star base on casters. The seats have plush cushions that are 2 inches thick, and they’re upholstered in black leather. They have a tilt feature with locking capability, a full 360-degree swivel, and a manual lift mechanism.

Each chair measures 24 inches deep, 22.5 inches wide, and 34 inches high, with a seat height of 20.5 inches. The chairs do show wear consistent with previous use. There are minor scuffs and scratches on the frame and base, as well as creases in the leather. Overall these pieces are in good to very good condition. Please see photos.
