1989 Set of Six Lella and Massimo Vignelli for Knoll Handkerchief Stacking Dining Chairs
This is a Set of Six Handkerchief stacking dining chairs, initially designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli and David Law for Knoll in 1985. This set dates to 1989, and the listed price includes the set of six chairs as shown. They are easily stackable with a generous seat size, and the organic lines are suggestive of a handkerchief in the wind. Their frames are composed of chromed steel, and their curvaceous seats are formed of molded polyester fiberglass.
Each chair measures 22.5 inches long, 23 inches wide and 29.5 inches tall. They have a seat height of 18 inches, and a seat depth of 19 inches. There is some wear from use on the upholstery. The bases show some light scuffs. Overall, this set is in very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
